A security breach has exposed the personal information of millions of Rite Aid customers, the company announced.
Roughly 2.2 million people were impacted by the attack. RansomHub, a ransomware group, has claimed to be responsible for the hacking that took place on June 6, Newsweek reports. However, Rite Aid did not confirm that RansomHub was the group behind the incident and only referred to the attackers as “the unknown third party.”
